Publication in Well+Good – Panic Attack Pack

By Dr. Nicole Cain ND, MA

The best anxiety treatments are those that are safe, work quickly, and can be done anywhere and at any time. For me, one of the fastest ways to stop anxiety is to go directly to the source: The autonomic nervous system.

Instead of taking medications to treat panic attacks, reduce generalized anxiety, or even help with fear of public speaking or other phobias, targeting your nervous system can often work better and faster. Without the side effects.

Think of your autonomic nervous system as the dial that can turn your nervous system reactivity up into fight, flight, freeze mode, or down into a state of relaxed rest and digestion. When anxiety strikes, your dial is turned up and you may feel symptoms of anxiety such as: Heart palpitations, numbness and tingling, difficulties concentrating, digestive upset, and even dizziness.

In my experience, the best anxiety treatment to target your nervous system is by creating and using what I call a Panic Pack (otherwise known as a: Panic Attack Pack).

I am absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to write about my Panic Panic pack in Well + Good. This article is entitled: How a Homemade ‘Panic Attack Pack’ Helps Me Manage My Anxiety.

In this article you are going to learn:

If you’re struggling with anxiety, panic, stress, overwhelm, dissociation or if you’d simply like alternatives to medications for managing your symptoms, a panic pack is a fun, inexpensive and effective option.

I hope your panic pack works as well for you as mine has for me.

Much love,

Dr. Nicole
