The good news is that there are many solutions for depression and Dr. Cain has been invited to contribute two chapters to a new book published by The Natural Path, a subsidiary of the journal Naturopathic Doctor News and Review (NDNR). The e-book is entitled “A Way Through” and contains 92 pages of helpful information, case studies, and research about suicide prevention and recovery from depression.

In a culture where a pill-for-an-ill predominates treatment options, and side-effects prevail, people are looking for answers. Major depressive disorder, which is depression to the severity that it significantly impairs a person from functioning in their daily lives, affects more than 16.1 million American adults in the United States, and about 3.3 million American adults suffer from persistent depressive disorder (PDD) which used to be referred to as dysthymia. PDD is a form of depression that lasts 2 years or more.
