With Narcissistic Personality Disorder, it is a symptom of suffering. The most important helpful things that you can do yourself and for them:

  • Have really good boundaries
  • Know where your personal limits are

Sometimes this may cause distress in the individuals, but consistently honoring yourself and honoring your boundaries and knowing where you stand is going to be a game-changer. Because of the nature of their illness, they will not be able to do that for you. It takes a lot of self-awareness and self-work to grow as a human and often times in narcissism, they don’t think that there is any growing that they need to do.

So have good boundaries and know that you are valuable and you’ve got this.
